Yep, I see it. A funky blue wrap surrounded by a low-tech version of those Mona Lisa Overdrive gizmos.

If you pull the string, does the hand talk?

Yeah, I see it. Looks aggravating. On the other hand, I think that having a pulley system on my arm would be kinda cool.

Still praying for a swift recovery.

I'll try it at home since I'm using Allstate's bandwidth at the moment

Well, it does feel kinda cool. And I'm getting a lot of sympathy from the wife and baby. (I haven't mentioned that I haven't had to change more than 3 diapers since the accident!)

However, I'm told to crank the contraption till the pain starts, then tighten it a turn every 5 minutes. I wear it 30 minutes at a time, and three times a day. Its basically a 30 minute painful proceddure. So, it isn't really all that cool!

That thing looks like a medieval torture device! Best wishes for a speedy recovery Steve.

From Steve's description of how it works, it sounds like a medieval torture device too! Who are these 'doctors' of yours anyways? Sounds like they'd confuse an iron lung for the Iron Maiden of Nuremburg. Good thing you didn't injure your back; they might've strapped you down to the rack.

Well, the sign on the door says "Madame X's House of Extreme Pain", and for some reason I have to park around the back. I don't know though. I thought I had the address right, but now you have me thinking!

This looks hi-tech! Will you keep the device after it has been removed?

You could write your next concept album on it!
Workings of man crying out from the fires set aflame
By his blindness to see that the warmth of his being
Is promised for his seeing, his reaching so clearly
