Hi
My name is Tom, and I'm from The Netherlands (Hengelo).
I'm a reborn Christian, and I love music in which the Lord is being uplifted.
Glass Hammer is since last year my favourite among others like Neal Morse, Iona and Delirious.
Greetings,
Tom

Re: Hi
Welcome to the forum! You'll meet many people here - Christian and non-Christian - both with a love for GH in common. (humbling I must admit). They're also kinda crazy so be careful who you talk to. But welcome!tomkoers wrote:My name is Tom, and I'm from The Netherlands (Hengelo).

God bless.

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

Single, always looking...
No children but have 4 wonderful neices
Job: CSR for American Standard
First GH Album: On to Evermore back when it was new. I read about GH back in 97 thanks to an article in Progression. I discovered the "underground" prog scene just a few short months before then.
Favorite GH album: Shadowlands -I simply adore the female vocals on this. Run Lisette is one of the best songs I've heard in the past 5 years.
First prog album I ever heard: Kansas -Leftoverture, early 1977, and I was all of 9. I'm a major fan of Dream Theater -all their albums plus 14 concerts, Rush all their albums plus -10 concerts, along with bands like Yes, Genesis, ELP, the Beatles, Tangerine Dream, King's X, Ayreon, Flower Kings, Joe Satriani, Ars Nova and countless others...
Music other than prog:
Classical, Jazz (no smooth jazz please!
), metal, bagpipes
Outside interests:
Sports, mainly baseball -Yankees, and Football -Giants
Movies -Sci-Fi and fantasy, historical epics, action
Monty Python
Politics -especially talk radio
Food -Italian, Mexican, German

And now for something completly different...
Really?
That's a first! Not that it bothers me, but what gave you that idea? I'm one of those "manly" men. My favorite vegetable is steak. I only watch movies where things blow up and women wear not very much. Well, not exactly a hard rule, but certainly no chick flicks. I smoke cigars. OK, that last one is about the most manly thing I do, I'm so pathetic! I've never even changed a tire or my oil.
