Watching the Sky?
Where is this 'hidden' track?
Its been a while since I listened to this album, I don't remember stumbling across anything not on the tracklist.

And now for something completly different...
Its the little recorder and drum outro at the very end of the disc. It sounds like part of the previous track, but if you watch your CD player or play it on your computer, it is technically a different track.
I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused
Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used
Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise
If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this maze?

Clarifying; Watching the Sky is track j), the second half of track 9, on the back of the album. Track 9 is supposedly 5:38 with both parts, i) and j). However, it is actually 5:43. Watching the Sky is, secretly, the fabled ):59 track 10. Its not really a secret, more of a mislabelling.

That song is only a minute or so long, but it's my favorite on the album. Well.... *paralyzed by indecision* You can't really compare recorders to juicy prog easily, so I can't really say whether it was my favorite. But I love that song! I only wish I could play it myself.
Workings of man crying out from the fires set aflame
By his blindness to see that the warmth of his being
Is promised for his seeing, his reaching so clearly

Forget the militaresque drums, what we really need is a 12 minute epic song comprised entirely of overdubbed recorders and drumset. Also, it would need a Theremin
.

Those 50s horror movies were only bad because they didn't have enough theremin in them...

Well it doesn't help that it's out of his range because of Fred's... alterations.
I'd need a sopranino to do that. Well, ok, I guess I could play the lower part on the soprano... Ok, dang. Out of excuses. I'll have to practice that.

I personally dont like the sound of the recorder all that much so that last track was taken off me PSP listing to save room. I also am not a fan of the military drum style.
But in any case, I LOVE The Waiting and for Watching The Sky: it is a neat way for the album to end. I say it was worth it as the ending to the album dispite it not being that good (for me).
