ProgressiveWorld.net Interview - LONG ONE
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

Someone's been reading my mind!
I've been making that point about only proggers being crucified for their sounds and styles for years. I like old Slowhand, but Clapton's released about 500 albums of blues music and everyone thinks the sun shines out of his bum! The list goes on, Oasis are Beatle's wannabes (and boy, do they want
) but no-one says a word because they're "cool" (HA!)
I also like the point about the seam of music not having been remotely mined out yet. More power to your slide, Fred
A long interview for a long album...maybe Life's a Long Song after all!
Of course, it's all very well giving Sam a namecheck. But let's face it, all she did was sing, play recorder and write a load of lyrics. I mean, come on, I nearly played triangle and, as I think WE ALL KNOW, that would have pushed this album into the progosphere. So, for the next interview, feel free to mention me using some or all of the following words; witty, urbane, loquacious, insightful, deranged...er...

Oh, I forgot - the Björk thing is crazy! haha! Never would have guessed! I've always liked and been creeped out of them at the same time...

Bjork is powerful! I love her in small doses. I got Live at the Royal Opera House on DVD and was blown away - and wrote Lirazel and 2 or 3 others that got shelved.Sam Gamgee wrote:Oh, I forgot - the Björk thing is crazy! haha!
