I would have to say this is my favorite version of the song thus far. It's funny, because I actually do NOT like this song at all when performed by Yes or Spock's Beard, but Glass Hammer just changed the atmosphere in a way that I think much better fits the song than even how Yes envisioned it. (Funny, isn't it?)

Agreed! I love Suzie's vocals on it especially...

Fred really nails the piano parts too!

Yeah, I'd have to say, I never would have envisioned myself listening to music, much less rock music, with any lead female vocalists, but Glass Hammer, and Suzie especially, has completely changed my view. South Side of the Sky is a great example of where a woman's voice can much better match the tone of the song (though, to be completely honest, I wasn't a big fan of the Tivoli cover), much like songs through The Inconsolable Secret.

It's interesting to see the reactions to SSotS. I liked the Tivoli version a lot. I was surprised by the version on CoA, but it grew on me quickly. As they both have aged in the oak barrel of my mind, I don't know if I could favor one over the other. I'm glad to have both versions.

I kind of feel like the Tivoli cover is a more direct adaptation of the song from the way Yes handled it. If memory serves, the CoA version just had that... Glass Hammer feel.
