I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart
Don't want to rush you guys, but any idea when the sampler will be up? I'm so anxious to hear it. And Rock Band? Seriously?! I'm not even a huge Rock Band fan, but I think I'll be picking that up!
Luke 6:27-31
27 "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

I think Schroedinger's Lament wins the prize for most promising track title EVER. Very much looking forward to listening. (Fred's responsible for that one, isn't he?)
I mean, uh... Yeah, it sounds ok, I guess. You know, for a listen or two

I agree. Although I love the epics you guys write, it seems like they're "less" epic if lots and lots are written (they don't feel as special). I know some of my favorite Yes songs are their shorter ones (by short I mean around 6 minutes). Anyway, thanks for writing awesome music, guys!NelStone wrote:Ah, so the Rock Band service WAS the surprise. Glad to see you guys will be using it and hopefully getting more exposure.
Also, I think the shorter track times will be a nice breather from the epics of the last few epic-filled albums. Bring on November (and that pre-order date)!

Emily is actually a cover of a song by The Zombies. Supposedly that is where they got the title. Only cover on the album, though we do have It's All Too Much (Beatles) in the vault as a bonus track.

If the cover changes the song in any way similar way to how you changed Longer and SSOTS then I REALLY have something to look forward to! I'm a huge Yes fan, but your cover os SSOTS is so much better (fits the mood of the song better) in my opinion, and Longer hands-down is better.Bnielsen wrote:Oh, wow!
A VERY neat song - I can't wait to see the treatment you guys gave it!

You beat me to the punch. If they are careful how they open the box, kitty could survive... On the other hand, if they don't open the box, kitty is both alive and dead.asbury wrote:"Schrodinger’s Lament" -- Is this after the box is finally opened and the alive/dead kitty has become only a dead kitty?
Clearly the most anticipated, if unhyped, lyrics in a blue moon.

After looking up Schrodinger's Cat I can honestly say that I am thoroughly confusedPhysicist wrote:You beat me to the punch. If they are careful how they open the box, kitty could survive...
