who here can read alto cleff?

or better yet, who here doesn't know what alto cleff is?

That's the funky one where you can put wherever you want, right? I hate that one. It's like trying to figure out difficult arithmetic problems you haven't memorized in your table. :-p

lol, theremin is right, it's easy! i just move the notes a step up to determine what they'd be in treble cleff...hard to explain, easy to do...

Easy to explain, hard to do! I have a hard enough time with bass clef because I never read it (soprano voice, soprano and alto recorders - I just never need to), so i have to think really hard about what the picture means. For alto clef, I have seen it so seldom that I have to rework the notes every time I look at it.

Alto clef is quite the handy little tool to have around if you're too lazy to write ledger lines
